Halal Ostrich

Some of us really don't know which of the birds and animals are Halal for Muslims to eat. Here are some of them which are really Halal and Muslims do eat them like Buck, Gazelle, Onsager, Rabbit, Fowls, Ducks, Pigeon, Sparrow, Partridge, Crane, Locusts, Bustard, Swift, Giraffe, Magpie, Quail, Lark, Starling, Sand Grouse, Nightingale, Ostrich, Peacock, Goose, Turtle Dove, Stag, Swan, Dolphin and Shark.
The readers might think it really amazing and must have heard most of the names for the first time. In fact, they all are really Halal and today we have Internet service to find out any proof through a slight search of course on the World's Trusted Search Engine "Google".
 
Here is a bird named Ostrich and its meat is HALAL and is being eaten by both the Muslims and Non- Muslims in all over the world. The countries including Saudi Arabia, Iran and UAE etc. are using the meat of Ostrich as their daily food. According to the earlier history and research, it had been found out that the meat of ostrich had been the appetite of the companions of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) in the earlier era after accepting Islam. According to the research, those birds who flap their wings more than gliding during their flight, are the birds halal to eat e.g. hens, pigeons, sparrows including ostrich and peacock.


An ostrich is a large bird on the surface of the earth which has no ability to fly, just like other big birds called emu and kiwi. The meat of ostrich is dark red in color just likely the meat of mutton and beef. It has likely the same taste with more proteins and has less calories and sodium than other red meat animal on the earth. It is low cholesterol and fats. Now, the meat of ostrich is considered as a balanced diet for the red meat lovers because it is low in cholesterol, fat and kilojoules. It is rich in protein, iron and its rich taste is similar to lean beef.


An Ostrich is a friendly bird and generates easy and sincere friendship with human in a very short period. However, in any attacking situations; it can be dangerous and aggressive for strangers. An average ostrich is found to be 6 to 9 feet in height and almost weighs around 90 and 160 kg. It has a very small brain and can live around 50 to 75 years. The female ostrich lays egg for around 42 years. Generally, ostrich is considered to be a desert bird and can run up to the speed of 40 MPH. Ostrich is found in warm and extreme environment. An average ostrich is mainly fed on any cattle fodder.
